Alex Darden

Alex Darden is the Chairman and President of EQT Partners Inc. and Head of the Infrastructure Advisory Team Americas at EQT, a purpose-driven global investment organization. Since joining EQT in 2008, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s infrastructure platform in the Americas. Prior to EQT, Mr. Darden worked at GE Energy Financial Services, where he managed structured debt and equity investments in companies across the energy sector. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of positions at ABB Inc., a global leader in electrification and automation technologies, from 1998 to 2002.

Mr. Darden currently serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, including Kodiak Gas Services (NYSE: KGS), a leading midstream gas compression company; Reworld, a sustainable materials management company; Madison Energy Infrastructure, a leading distributed energy provider operating in the commercial, industrial, and small utility-scale markets; Cypress Creek Renewables, a nationally recognized renewable energy company; Cirba Solutions, a top-tier lithium-ion battery recycling company; Broe Group, a private investment firm with core operations across real estate, energy and railroads; EQT Infrastructure Company LLC. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for the North Carolina State University Investment Fund.

He has also previously served on the boards of a number of companies across the infrastructure and energy sectors, including RTI, a leader in closed-loop cooking oil management and biodiesel production; Fenix Marine Services, a major container terminal operator at the Port of Los Angeles; Contanda Terminals, a provider of bulk liquid storage solutions; Direct ChassisLink Inc., a key player in the U.S. intermodal logistics space; and Synagro Technologies, a premier biosolids management company.

Mr. Darden earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from North Carolina State University.
